Headline of the Day So Far

Traces of Pork Found in Moose Lasagna

I don't why this strikes me funny, but it's Ikea - which I tend to think of as a company that sells "functional furniture".  They apparently also sell frozen foods in Europe and someone in Belgium determined the Moose contained around 1.6% pork.  I suppose if one were allergic to pork it might be detectable.

I think the people who care the most would be Moose-lims.

Sorry, Bullwinkle.

  1. I've seen recipes for venison sausage that include pork fat because venison is so lean, I'm guessing this happened the same way.
